Discover historic trails along the Urko river, marvel at the well-preserved hórreo of Ibarguen and enjoy the tranquillity of a unique natural environment.
Agriculture
Etxebarria is on the way to Gipuzkoa, if we go through San Miguel.
It is situated at the foot of Mount Kalamua and is made up of narrow valleys in a natural setting on the banks of the River Urko. This river crosses the municipality accompanied by the Urko path, the old Royal Way, which combines leisure, sport and culture as it passes through, giving walkers the opportunity to learn about the history and heritage of the town. Among them is the Ansotegi palace with its dam, dyke and mill, which are still preserved.
The hórreo of Ibarguen is from the middle of the century, built on four columns and its upper part is made entirely of oak wood. It is the best naturally preserved of those in the Basque Country.
Relaxation area: The banks of the Urko
The Urko path runs alongside the river and as it passes near Munibe we can feel the silence and tranquillity. It is an easy route that allows you to enjoy the tranquillity and nature.
